I’m Sergio Pérez Fernández, a 21-year-old video game developer specializing in Unity C# programming with experience in creating multiplayer games and a Fullstack developer proficient in Java, Python, Kotlin (Android), and JavaScript.

When I was five, my uncle let me try The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on his Nintendo DS, and that moment sparked my passion for video games. Not long after, I received a Nintendo DSi as a gift, my first console, which I still enjoy today. From there I went through the Wii, 3DS, and PlayStation 3 and 4, until at the age of 15 I built my own custom gaming PC, which I’ve continued to use even after recently adding a Nintendo Switch to the collection.

Some of my favorite titles include Cyberpunk 2077, Pokémon Black & White, Kirby: Squeak Squad, Rabbids Go Home, and Nier: Automata. Since I was 12, I’ve been telling my friends I wanted to create video games too, but it was after playing Nier that I set my goal of turning my passion into my life and career.

I earned a Higher Technician Degree in Multiplatform Application Development, where I trained intensively to become a programmer. During that time, I learned languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and even the ever-notorious x86 assembly. I also learnt various design patterns, interface design, and database management, among many other subjects. I participated in several professional projects for the industry and developed my first multiplayer game for Android as my final project.

Following that, I completed an Advanced Master’s Degree in Development, Programming, Modeling, Animation, Art, and Design for Video Games. For my Master’s final projects, I created a 3D multiplayer game in Unity called “Best Of Wizardry” using Netcode for GameObjects, developed a Game Document Design for my game, and built a scene from scratch using Maya and ZBrush featuring my favorite car, the Limited Edition Yellow Honda Civic Type R, as the protagonist.

I am currently involved in a multitude of courses while working on a new game in Unity. You can follow the progress of this project on my YouTube channel, where I upload devlogs and share updates.
